Zombie Bear
Project type
3D Art.
Date
30/05/2025
Location
My house!
So, long story short me and my 'best friend' had broken up because he had refused to give me a proper apology and then randomly began unfollowing me.
Ouch.
And I couldn't bare to look at the bear he had given me for my birthday. He was dead to me.
Keyword, dead to me. So I came up with a brilliant idea of turning the teddy bear into a zombie!
To do this, I first unstuffed the teddy bear and chopped parts of its ear off and removed it eyes. I then began to dye it green, however the dye never stuck but it did leave a nice grimy effect on the bear!
I then took the dress it was wearing and began to scuff it up, I did this by using sandpaper, a seam ripped and a craft knife to hack away at the dress to make it all raggedy. I then went in using a mixture of brown, scarlet and red acrylic paint to then smudge and splatter blood all over the dress. Using clay, I had then created a ribcage for the dress and then stuck it on using hot-glue before painting it and then used nail polish coat to give it a wet effect.
Once the bear had dried, I then used the eye I had cut out from its skull to then make an hanging eyeball effect, I used a pipe cleaner to do that before sticking it using my best friend, hot glue. Then like the dress, I then went in using the same coloured acrylics to then roughen it up and make it look - well... dead!
To finish it off, I then stuffed it back together and placed it back in its original place above my bed board!
All together, this project surprisingly helped me move on very quick, I managed to vent my frustration and anger onto the bear and created something new out of something that used to be sentimental to me. I defiantly do prefer it then its original version and I think it relates more to my whimsical aesthetics.
Here is the video where I created this creature:
