TV-Head (Slushy)

This is my TV-Head (I had named her Slushy!) I had created as both cosplay and an art project.

To create this TV, I had bought a broken CRT Tv from eBay and from there I had ripped apart the Tv and disposed of everything from the inside.

After I had safely disposed of the insides, I then used a power tool to drill a massive circle in the bottom of the Tv so that I could place my head inside. I then primed it used white spray paint then painted it using my chosen paints and then placed a clear lacquer on top so it would not flake or chip off easily.

Using clay, I then created two balls to stick on the top and placed cleaning pipes inside to create the antenna and then stuck stars onto the end of them as the tv is space inspired.

Finally I placed foam around the rim of the neck hole so I wouldn't have any injuries.

Using plexiglass, I placed it onto the front of the Tv and used window tint so that you couldn't see my face and it gives off the realistic Tv vibes.

Unfortunately, the lacquer did turn yellow on the sides so I did stick more stars to it which did make it more interesting and was a happy mistake, so I'm not mad.

Overall, this project was an absolute joy! I loved every moment of creating my little monster and I'm so glad I have something that both counts as a prop and also a headwear.

This project debuted on the 25th of January at Megacon.
